A Note to Mothers: "We Had Already Been Rewarded"

The owner of these two cute 'n sandy feet is celebrating a birthday today! I decided to stay up all the way past 4:00AM HST (he was born at this hour) to silently celebrate and reflect on his birthday.

I'd like to begin this very special day with a note to mothers: 

Being a mother is arguably the most rewarding job in the world!

We may not always be appreciated or understood, but we must always remember that we had already been rewarded--that is, by the arrival of our precious children into our lives.
